Did you know?
Inglourious Basterds
Quentin Tarantino had hoped Adam Sandler would play Donny Donowitz (The Bear Jew) but the actor had to turn down the role as it conflicted with the filming of Funny People.
Both Tim Roth and Simon Pegg were set to play Lt. Archie Hicox, the British film critic/soldier, but were also unable to appear during scheduling conflicts.
Leonardo DiCaprio was Tarantino's original choice for the role of Col Hans Landa, although the director later decided the role should go to a German speaking actor.
Old Dogs
The release of Old Dogs was delayed from April 2009 until December due to the unexpected death of star Bernie Mac.
Where the Wild Things Are
The film was originally going to be completely animated, until director Spike Jonze thought it would be more exciting to see a real kid running around with the Wild Things.

Ho ho ho Quickflixers! 2009 is coming to a close and just look at what Santa has dropped into your email inbox!

What better way to celebrate the end of the year than to look back and celebrate the best in cinema. We reveal our 10 favourite films of 2009, hand out our inaugural Quickflix Awards and give an in-depth look at the greatest film of the year . As always, we have plenty of prizes and movie tickets to give away!

AND THE QUICKFLIX TECH TEAM also have their own Christmas present to give to our members. But we'll let them tell you what it is themselves!

"We've been hard at work make your service even better. When you add a boxset of titles from now on, all titles under that set will appear under one position in your Queue. If you add further titles to the set (for example adding Alias season 5 to your Alias set), they will automatically be added in the correct order and furthermore sent in order, regardless of how they were added. Have a look for yourself and let us know if you have any feedback! Also, look out for our new iPhone application, a new 'My Favourites' feature and a Movie Discovery engine in the new year!"

Great work boys! Finally, we'd like to thank you the readers all for your devotion to Quickflix News and continued interaction on the Quickflix Blog this past year. We wish you all the merriest Christmas and the happiest New Year imaginable.

Enduring Love by Anneliese.
This movie has a really interesting story-line, however it seemed to drag on a little in places. Worth a look purely to see the sensational performance given by Daniel Craig...
Mysterious Island by Janis.
Good movie with a suspense action to it...
