Paranormal Activity
The ending of Paranormal Activity is different to the one originally shot in 2007. It was changed at the suggestion of Steven Spielberg after Dreamworks/Paramount purchased the film.
Director Oren Peli installed a staircase in his own home specifically for the film.
Paranormal Activity has officially broken the record for the most profitable movie in film history (based on a cost-to-profit ratio). The previous record holder was The Blair Witch Project.
Zombieland
John Carpenter was offered the opportunity to direct the film, but declined.
Public Enemies
Leonardo DiCaprio was originally slated to star as John Dillinger when the project was in development in 2004.
