Hollywood knows how to make these sci-fi thrillers. Denzel Washington is as usual in his element in this fast paced action thriller. The best part is they make it look and sound so real that one wonders if something like this has already been made. I really enjoyed this movie. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes action thrillers... more

Most involving and enjoyable, a sort of "Sorcerer's Apprentice" plot, full of shocks and surprises and moments of genuine horror. Magnificent sets and convincing playing - Richard Attenborough more or less playing himself, and Wayne Knight (he was Newman in "Seinfeld") makes a wonderfully slobby villain who comes to a satisfyingly sticky end. Our only objection, neither of the two thoroughly toxic child characters was eaten... more

Megan Spencer
Megan Spencer has spent way too much of her life in the dark, all for a good cause though - watching movies as a professional film critic. for the last six and a half years she has been serving the ever-increasing hunger for film and DVD reviews as radio triple j's resident film critic, and a year ago joined the new line up of long-running SBS-TV film review program, The Movie Show.
And the impossible question to ask a film critic: what's her favourite film? "Blue Velvet would be at the top of the list, so would Fight Club... But then again American In Paris makes me cry every time."
Does TV get footy right?
Now The obsession in antipodean contemporary life that is Australian Rules football is rarely reflected in our fictional television. While former Hawthorn and Brisbane Bear Rob Dickson won $500,000 on Australian Survivor, and ex-St Kilda player Michael Roberts was a gift shop model on Sale of the Century, Mark 'Jacko' Jackson had to venture overseas to achieve Hollywood stardom in the 80s US action series The Highwayman Read full article

Scott Goodings
TV Freak Scott Goodings is crazy about TV. Scott's first TV memory is an episode of "Matlock Police" called "A Piece Of Cake". His first experience of the medium in colour was seeing a Hector The Cat road safety commercial through the window of the CBA bank in Cheltenham in 1975.
